Nepal

In May 2025, we landed in Kathmandu after leaving Colombo, Sri Lanka. We spent the first few days acclimatizing to the elevation and fast pace of Nepali life. Our first and biggest plan in Nepal was hiking in Langtang Valley. We met our guide, Prashid, in Kathmandu, did some planning, and were soon flying down Nepal’s mountain roads on a local bus for one of the most interesting rides of our lives.

We spent the next 10 days trekking through Langtang Valley. We stayed in teahouses in the evening, hosted by local families, and spent the days on our feet making our way up the valley. Our trek finale was summiting the 5,000-meter peak, Tserko Ri.

After some rest & recovery in Kathmandu, we hopped on another bus and headed to Chitwan National Park, famously known for the one-horned rhino. We spent the next 5 days enjoying the town of Sauraha and watching animals cross the river. We spent one day trekking through the national park, where we were able to witness the rhinos and other animals in their natural habitat. Things got a bit tense when we were chased into a tree by a rhino… but I won’t ruin the ending for you. You can watch the video on our YouTube
